The Archive Menu

The Archive Menu is the second menu on the menu bar at the top of the main window. It has the following items:
  • New. This will pop up the New Archive Dialog.
  • Delete. This will delete the current archive after confirmation from you, if no workstations are configured to use it.
  • Edit. Pops up the Edit Archive Dialog.
  • Run Method. Pops up a submenu with the following choices:
  • Run key of registry. Selecting this item will run UPDATE from the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run. This is the default.
  • Custom (eg. login script). Selecting this item will tell Update Configurator not to run UPDATE at boot-time. You can run UPDATE yourself by calling that batch-file GETME.BAT in subdirectory BAT of the archives directory.
  • Ignore. Pops up the Ignore Dialog.
  • Commands. Pops up the Custom Commands Dialog.
  • Get. Will run UPDATE to make the harddisk match the archive.
  • Put. Pops up the New Version Dialog and runs UPDATE to create a new archive version that matches the harddisk.
  • Test. Will run a series of tests on the archive to check its integrity.
  • Workstations. Pops up the View Workstations Dialog.
