New Archive Dialog |

The New Archive Dialog lets you enter the parameters needed to initialize a
new archive on the server. You can give the archive a name and a
description, and enter the directory that should hold the contents of the
archive on the server.
Reachable fromThe New Archive Dialog box can be displayed be pressing the New button in the New Workstation Dialog or by choosing the 'New' item of the 'Archive' menu or the corresponding button on the Archive toolbar.FieldsName The name of the archive is the name that you use to refer to the archive from within Update Configurator. It is not used anywhere else.Description The description is just to let you remember what this archive is for. Directory The directory that holds the contents of the archive on the server. This should be the name of a nonexisting directory that you are allowed to create. You should have write access to it when initializing and updating the archive. Users should only have read access to this directory. The directory has to be reachable from DOS - it should begin with a DOS drive letter not a machine name. OK Press this button to create the archive as an empty archive with the specified parameters. Cancel Press this button to Cancel the creation of the archive.
