Main Window
You have to install Update Configurator before using it. It will not run without access to its configuration database. If you run an uninstalled version of Update Configurator it will just offer you the opportunity to run the setup program which it will assume is located in the same directory as itself.

The first time you run the installed version of Update Configurator you will be asked if you want to configure the workstation you sit at. If you choose yes you will be presented with the New Workstation Dialog. If you choose no, Update Configurator will start up empty.

The main Window

The main window of Update Configurator looks like the picture. In the top of the main window you see the title bar followed by the menu and three toolbars. The majority of the main window has room for log entries - when you do something "important" an entry should show up here. At the button there is a status bar.
