Ignore Files/Directories Dialog

Use this dialog to change the files/directories that are ignored when updating a workstation, a workstation that belongs to a group, or a workstation using an archive. If you get a warning that a file is open for writing when UPDATE is copying files to an archive it might be an idea to ignore it. If it is caused by an application that can be stopped, that is of course a better solution.

Reachable from

The Ignore Files/Directories Dialog can be reached from the "Ignore" item of the 'Archive', 'Group', and 'Workstation' menu or the corresponding toolbar buttons.

Fields

Path Here you can enter the path of a file or directory to be ignore. A path should end with a '\'. You can locate an existing file/directory by pressing the Browse button. If you specify a nonexisting file/directory you have to give the short version of the path since it has to be usable in DOS.

Browse Pressing this button will display a modified File Open Dialog that will allow you to return any existing file/directory on the local workstation.

Add Pressing this button will copy the contents of the Path edit box to the Ignore listbox. There is currently no check for duplicate entries.

List This list box holds a list of all ignored files/directories. Directories end with a '\'.

Remove Pressing this button will copy the item selected in the listbox to the Edit box and remove it from the listbox.

Short/Long Pressing this button will toggle the display in the listbox from/to long filenames from to/from short filenames.

OK Pressing this button will save all the changes performed.

Cancel Pressing this button will Cancel any changes performed.
