1. What is SpeedoCheck
-----------------------
First of all let me tell you what SpeedoCheck is not. It is not a program that will report to the government if, where, and when you wear your speedos. I tried to incorporate that feature into this program but managed to run into some severe complications. Hence, it will only let you determine if your speedometer in your vehicle is accurate or not.

To use SpeedoCheck you must first do a little driving around -- preferably on a highway or interstate with light traffic. Get up to your target speed (e.g. 60 MPH) and hold it as close as possible at that speed. As soon as you pass the first milemarker start your stopwatch. Continue to hold your speed constant at the desired speed for at least one mile (or kilometer). The further you can maintain a constant speed the more accurate the results will be. (I think going more than 20 miles like that would be quite taxing on a person, however.) When you see that you will need to slow down, stop, or speed up soon find the next milemarker and stop the stopwatch. Write down the elapsed time (minutes, seconds, hundredths of seconds), distance traveled, and target speed on a piece of paper.

When you get back home (unless you have a portable computer) enter the data into the program and press calculate for the results. You may enter data in either miles or kilometers, but not both at the same time.

7. Future Versions
-------------------
Depending on feedback that is received, future versions may be developed. Suggestions already received include: Allowing input of a range of speed checks to determine overall accuracy; a graphical representation of how the speedometer varies at different speeds; the ability to print out the results in a useful format.

8. Version History
-------------------
