  1. The purpose of the program.

LabVIEW is the software development environment of choice for scientists and instrumentation engineers. Microsoft Word is the most popular word-processing software application in the world today. The WordVIEW Toolkit for LabVIEW combines the power of these two applications to provide the LabVIEW programmer with a set of tools for automating the creation of high quality reports and other documents. WordVIEW is a set of 35 VIs for creating, editing and managing Word documents. These VIs use the ActiveX (OLE) technology introduced in LabVIEW 5.0 to control Microsoft Word. They provide basic tools for manipulating documents and text, tables, charts, graphics and other objects embedded in documents.
