                                Important Information

Some users of Pop Mail Checker have noted some errors with their systems after
installation.  Please note that this is not a failing in my software, but one
in Windows.  BEFORE INSTALLATION back up the comdlg32.dll file in your Windows\System
directory, and if you experience any errors, please restore this file.

Part 1
------

Requirements:

Windows 95
TCP Internet or Intranet Connection
POP Mail Account


Instructions For Use:

1. Enter your server address, user name, and password in the spaces provided.

2. If you require periodical automated mail checking, please choose a time period
   in the section provided.

3. If you want sound notification of new mail, please check the box provided.

4. Save your settings and press hide.

The program runs from the system tray, and is denoted by a mail box.  When you
recieve new mail, the mail flag on the mail box will pop up.  Just right click the
icon, and your default mail client will open!

The "unflagged" mailbox carries right click popup menu support, for quick access to
key features of the program, including un-hiding the mail configuration window.

There is also a log window, which will notify you of any errors, as well as the last
check results.

Installation Instructions:

Double click the popmail.exe icon to start installation, please make sure you have read
the important information above, as I accept no responsibility for system problems.

Registration:

Pop Mail Checker is Shareware, and must be registered after 15 days of use.  Registering
entitles you to a even better version of the software which checks multiple mail
accounts, and has a lot of configuration options, such as your own message or sound
being displayed when new mail arrives.  Registration is only $10, and can be carried
out online on a 128 bit SSL server at http://www.slash.org.  Please see the downloads 
section for more information.
