Ephemera V1.1 Copyright (c) 1997, 1998 Ben Michell
===============================================================================

Ephemera is a free Windows 95 and Windows NT screen saver. Ephemera draws IFS
fractals, giving an ever-changing display of complex shapes echoing those found
in nature. Ephemera allows a wide range of configuration, so is possible to
adjust the images produced to suit your own taste. A help file is also included
which explains what IFS's are and how to draw your own.

If you use Ephemera please register (for free) by sending me an e-mail message
or a postcard. Registered users will receive notification of new releases. Any
questions, suggestions, comments or bug reports are also most welcome. I can be
reached at bmichell@cybergraphic.com.au. My postal address (for postcards) is
in the help file.

The following text has been taken from the help file, which also contains
details on configuration, etc.

What's New in V1.1
------------------

* Configuration is now controlled with schemes. Previously there was only one
group of settings per colour system.
* The configuration dialog has been completely redesigned (it has been broken
  into two dialogs).
* Schemes can be tested while they are being configured.
* Four hard-coded templated schemes have been added (Autumn, Ephemera, Ferns,
  and Gasket).
* Screen shots can be saved.
* The Spectrum colour system and the Mixture rule system have been added.

Installing
----------

Copy EPHEM11.SCR and EPHEM11.HLP into your Windows directory (most likely
C:\WINDOWS or C:\WINNT). Go the Control Panel, open up the Display or Desktop
options, and select Ephemera from the list of screen savers. Windows 95 will
show the screen saver as Ephem11. On Windows NT it will be shown as
Ephemera V1.1.

Upgrading from V1.0
-------------------

Versions 1.0 and 1.1 of Ephemera can coexist, so it is not necessary to
uninstall V1.0 first. However, if you want to uninstall V1.0, first make sure
it is not selected as your screen saver. Next delete EPHEMERA.SCR and
EPHEMERA.HLP from your Windows directory. If you want you can remove the
[Screen Saver.Ephemera] section from the CONTROL.INI file. Ephemera V1.1
doesn't pick up the settings from V1.0.
