2) The shareware principle:

The term of shareware can be defined as a method of software distribution and also a software sale. It
indicates neither its quality nor its price. There are good and bad points with the traditional method of
distribution (shop or by mail order), and also the shareware system.
Actually the shareware priciple is simple: a test version of a software is distributed by its authors,
everybody is encouraged to test it, copy it and distribute it by all means (diskette, CD Rom, internet,
magazine, by mail, friends ). Thus the user can test the softfware before purchasing it.
That is the main advantage of the sharewae principle in so far as you know what you are buying. At
the end of a testing period, he must purchase it if he wants to continue using it.In the case of
WindowPictures, the test period is 15days, beyond that period of time WindowPictures will
be blocked. If the user is pleased with the software and wants to continue using it after the test
period, he must register directly with its authors (no extra charge for intermediate distribution frame
contrary to a traditional distribution).
With the shareware principle, you know exactly what you are buying, you can test the software freely
and for free during the test period and you also save money by avoiding the paiement of extra charge
for intermediate distribution frame.
