Thanks for downloading Private Practice Manager 2.0.

Private Practice Manager is designed for psychologists, social workers, psychotherapists, and other clinicians who need to track their clients, sessions, and billings.  PPM can print bills, HCFA forms, financial summaries, client lists, session notes, and schedules.

This file explains how to install PPM 2.0.

This program is shareware.  It is fully functional, except that before you register it you can only enter five clients.  If you decide to register PPM, you will be able to enter as many clients as you wish.  Registration is $100 and information on how to register can be found at http://members.aol.com/markcj/ppm.html or by e-mailing the author at markcj@aol.com.  Feel free to distribute the installation files to anyone who may be interested.

To install PPM on your Windows 95 machine:

1. Unzip the file you have downloaded into a temporary directory.
2. Run Setup.exe
3. Once successfully installed, you can delete the temporary directory (you may want to keep the file PPM2.ZIP in case you need to reinstall).

Potential problems:

If you get an error saying the SYSTEM.MDB file cannot be found, copy the file SYSTEM.MDB from the ppm2.zip file to c:\Program Files\PPM2

If you get an error concerning COMCAT.DLL:
1. Rename the file c:\windows\system\comcat.dll to comcat.old.
2. Copy the file COMCAT.DLL from the zip file to c:\windows\system
