Long program description:
LAN based OfficeView Pro is an in/out board that displays standard or
customized remarks, such as: in, in but unavailable, on vacation until...,
etc. In addition to knowing where your co-workers are, your receptionist
can give well-informed responses to phone calls and alert you to the
arrival of clients. The program also includes a messaging system and
a screen that displays employee information such as telephone, fax,
pager numbers, and a notepad to display lengthy, more detailed information.
The alphabetical search feature helps you find a name before you've
finished typing it. OfficeView Pro can accommodate up to 1000 names.
There's more! Check out our Web site (http://www.officeview.com) for
the full story.

Distribution: This evaluation version can be freely distributed.

Installation instructions:

First, create a dedicated shared directory for OfficeView Pro on your file
server. Give all OfficeView Pro users full (execute, read, write, delete
and create) privileges on the shared directory.

To install the OfficeView Pro files on the shared network directory, select
Run from the Start menu on the task bar (Windows NT 3.51 users select Run
from the File menu in your Windows Program Manager). Enter the path and
name of the install program, "OVP.exe". Press Enter and follow the on-line
instructions. The OfficeView Pro Setup program installs within seconds.

Next, with OfficeView Pro running from the shared directory, log on as
Admin using the password "abc". To populate the board with user names,
click on Action and "Add Name" or type Ctrl+N and type the name. Prior
to adding the first user name, you will be asked to set the options to
be given to new users. OfficeView will assign a blank password which
allows the employee to log in without entering a password. Normally,
the user will then set a password to one of his/her choice. You can
enter information into the Employee Information screen by clicking on
the name and selecting Information. Employees may prefer to enter this
information for themselves. After you have entered all the names, it is
prudent to make a backup copy of the OfficeView Pro shared directory.

At each workstation, assign (map) a drive letter to the common network
directory and be sure to enable the option to automatically reconnect
when Windows starts up. From the drive mapped to common network directory,
run the Workstation Setup program (Ws32grp.exe) to add entries in the
Program Manager or the Program menu on the taskbar Start button. In
Windows 95 or NT, you can also add the program to the top of the Start
menu by dragging the program's icon onto the Start button.

Admin mode is useful only for administrative purposes and should not be
used for every day use because many of the normal functions are disabled
or changed to perform administrative tasks.
