Thanks for trying Check Mail ver 2.00
This software is copyright 1997 by Alien Seed Software, all rights reserved

CheckMail notifies you when you have email waiting at your POP server
It is designed to give a quick and convient way to check to see if you have any Email. All you do is give it your domain, user name and password and it tells you how many messages you have on that server. It can check the server at a specified interval and play a .WAV sound or .AVI movie when mail is recieved. It will check multiple domains as well, and saves all the info you give it safely, encrypting the password(s). Not having to keep your Main E-Mail program running saves valuable system resourses. The program shows up in the system tray rather than the task bar. This saves space in your taskbar, keeping CheckMail as unobtrusive as possible.

What's new in version 2.00

1) There is a check box that allows you to specify whether you want the program to start minimized
2) Checkmail can now play AVI movie clips when new mail is recieved
3) Some minor bugs and anomalies fixed
4) The url of the Alien Seed Homepage in the about box is now correct

Quick fixes if there is a problem:
+ If the program starts
acting screwy, delete all keys in the registry folder:
	HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\CheckMail\Startup
the registry may be edited via the windows program regedit.exe
These keys must also be deleted if you have installed a version of this software prior
   to version 0.03b
+ Sometimes if the program can't make a connection when checking manually and you immediatly try to reconnect you will get an error, give it a second, and try again.

enjoy,
