AutoMID for Win95/NT v5.0 Readme
--------------------------------

AutoMID is a 32-bit MIDI player for Windows 95/NT that includes
the following features (among others):

* Displays MIDI song lyrics and other text in a MIDI file
* Has 12 "presets" similar to a car radio to remember your favorite
songs
* Has auto-reset between songs to reset the MDI sequencer, to improve
playback quality - GM, GS and XG reset modes
* Lets you enter notes about your favorite songs, and pops them up
automatically when a song is played if you choose.
* Has playlist or directory-based playback, you choose!
* Minimizes to system tray, control most functions from a system tray
icon
* 32-bit for better multitasking
* Has configurable pause between songs
* Pops up "quick tips" on startup
* Also "plays" .avi and .wav files
* Easy one-step install procedure
* Completely nag-free shareware, $20 registration fee

To install AutoMID, just double-click the included .EXE file
(or run it from a DOS prompt or Start/Run) in Win95 or NT.

AutoMID is shareware, not free software. Although there are
no nag screens that appear while using the program, and all
functions are fully enabled, you are encouraged to register the
program if you like it and want to continue using it beyond a
reasonable evaluation period (30 days). For information on
how to register and where to send registration checks, see the
included help file or click on Options/About after installing
the program.

Note: AutoMID is freely distributable, and there are no
restrictions on distribution whatsoever, other than
not breaking up the install .exe into its component
parts. AutoMID may be distributed on any media, but
the author would appreciate it if he was notified if
the program is distributed on CDROM media, so he can
keep track of versions and updates. A free CD-ROM would
be nice too, but not necessary :-) AutoMID (both as an
install .exe and in its installed executable format) may
not be reverse-engineered or decompiled.

You can contact AutoMID's author via the Internet at
future@oz.net or fewtch@hotmail.com, or at the address
below.
