This ReadMe First document provides basic information about Ulead PhotoImpact 4.0. If you have any questions about how to use this product, please refer first to the programs online help. 1. System requirements

	Windows 95 or Windows NT 4.0 or higher
	486-DX2/DX4 or Pentium-compatible systems
	8MB RAM (16MB recommended)
	16MB available hard drive space for program files
	Windows-compatible pointing device
	True Color or HiColor display adapter and monitor (recommended)

Important Note:

Five system libraries (MFC40.DLL, MSVCRT.DLL, MSVCRT20.DLL, MSVCRT40.DLL, MSVCIRT.DLL) must be installed in your Windows System folder to run Ulead PhotoImpact 4.0.  These files are routinely installed by products from a variety of vendors and, for many users, will already exist.  

If you do not have these files, you may download them from our web site at http://www.ulead.com/webutilities/album/al_downf.htm. If you experience problems running PhotoImpact 4.0, please verify that these files are located in the System folder under your Windows directory.


2. Trial period information

Ulead Web PhotoImpact version is distributed free-of-charge to all users. This software installs for a FREE trial use for a period of 30 days from the date of installation.


3. Purchasing the retail version of Ulead PhotoImpact 4.0

You may purchase a retail Full version of Ulead Web Album that is very similar to (or better than) the Trial version. The retail version is not time restricted and will never expire. Details about where and how to purchase this product can be found on the Ulead web site page at (http://www.ulead.com).


4. Technical support

For Trial version users, if you have any questions, we encourage you to read the Ulead PhotoImpact 4.0 pages on our web site. We offer no technical support at this moment for the Trial version of Ulead PhotoImpact 4.0. If you discover a bug in the program, please send your report to support@ulead.com.tw. Necessary changes will be made and the FAQ page will be updated. We suggest you check our web site often.

Technical support for the purchased retail Full version is available via our web site (www.ulead.com or www.ulead.com.tw), email (support@ulead.com.tw), fax, or through our support centers around the world. Be sure to have your PhotoImpact 4.0 Support ID (displayed in the programs About box) ready or include it in your email or fax.
