*************** Installation ****************

PalMer11.exe is a self-extracting archive produced using
Install Shield(R). Merely running PalMer11.exe will start a
series of installation dialogs. The dialogs should be
self-explanatory.

PalMerge should be uninstalled before installing a second
copy on the same machine. See the uninstall information
below.

Some file archive sites may be distributing PalMerge
as a compressed file. Typically, the file name would be
something like, palmer11.zzz. PalMerge.exe would be
extracted from this file using an appropriate uncompression
utility. Although PalMerge supports long file names
for user generated files, PalMerge itself uses all
8.3 short file names internally. This is an attempt
to increase backward compatibility with MS DOS(R)
versions of uncompression utilities.

*************** Uninstall ****************

PalMerge can be removed easily. The Windows(R)
Add/Remove control panel feature can be used to
remove the PalMerge product. Be sure PalMerge
and its installation directory are closed first.

Alternately, Simply run the program,
Uninstl_.exe. This program is installed in the same
directory as PalMerge itself has been installed.
Again, be sure to close out PalMerge and its
installation directory before starting the uninstall
program.

*********** Distribution (Shareware) ************

PalMerge is distributed as shareware with a 30-day free
trial period.

PalMerge is distributed as a self-extracting executable
file, PalMer11.exe. PalMerge is freely distributable in its
unmodified self-extracting form. Some distribution sites may
archive the file using a compression program. That is
acceptable, as long uncompression still generates the
original PalMer11.exe file. Others, particularly file
distribution sites, may charge a nominal and reasonable
fee for copying, storage and delivery of this product.
Vantage View Software and its licensed associates reserve
the right to be the only entities can sell PalMerge in
a registered form.

This ReadMe.txt file may be distributed along with
PalMer11.exe as a separate file. This ReadMe.txt file
is also included within the self-extracting file with
two names: PalMer11.txt and ReadMe.txt.

You have 30 days to evaluate the software without obligation
after installation. After that, if you are still using the
product, then you are obligated to pay the registration fee.
Also, distribution of any of the installed
components is not allowed; with the exception of the sample
color palette files, PalMer11.txt and ReadMe.txt.
If someone else would like the program they must install
it from the self-extracting distribution file.

Additional information is available concerning registration,
copyright and license issues. Running the self-extracting
executable will bring up the license agreement and disclaimer.
Registration information can be found within the running
program itself.
