OK, here are the answers to your questions ...

The new transition wipes between screens are relatively new. If you find them horribly irritating, or if you're running a computer that doesn't handle them well, you can turn them off by left-clicking on any screen in an article to get the pop-up menu. Select "transition" to turn it off.

I'd love to blame the Postal Service for our late subscription woes, but I don't want anyone going postal on me. There seem to be certain areas of this great nation of ours that have problems getting IE on time. We are trying to fix this as quickly as we can.

As far as packaging goes, you should hang on to those old flip-4 covers, because they're about to become collector's items. Starting with Episode 19, we are being distributed exclusively in a new magazine-style package. We like them, but we would be very interested in knowing what our loyal viewers think.
