The writer-identification thing has been a source of debate around the office pretty much from IE's humble beginnings.  Personally, I like your idea of slapping pictures next to the names in the credits, but I'm not certain that it's ever going to happen.

I am certain that as long as I'm managing editor, the shiny, happy midi music that you used to hear on IE will remain an unopened file on our sound director's hard drive. I agree with you that some sort of background music would be cool to have. However, the problem with cool music is that it costs money, and that particular budget item ranks pretty far down the list.
