KUR'PUPU: DETECTION
Shapeshifting does not alter a Kur'Pupu's underlying DNA, so a DNA test (such as ResiduePrinting) can reveal a shapeshifted Kur'Pupu. Voiceprinting cannot identify a shapeshifted Kur'Pupu, unless the Kur'Pupu is shapeshifted into a Vedj or a Zzazzl, in which case the resulting anomaly will reveal the creature as a Kur'Pupu. Another way to detect a Kur'Pupu is by the high energy burst they emit when they shapeshift. This burst is easily identified, even using household equipment.
