INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ In order to run the hardware accelerated version of the game, you will need a hardware accelerator card with the 3Dfx chipset. If you are unsure whether or not you have a 3Dfx card installed, please see the list below in TECHNICAL SUPPORT INFORMATION, under 3Dfx contact information. The installation procedure will prompt you to install the following onto your machine: - Spec Ops(tm) - Indeo(r) Video Codec to play the movies - Direct X 5.0 - Prompt to install the 3Dfx drivers. This is only necessary if the game will not run after you do the install. The 3Dfx drivers are located in your Start Menu/Programs/SpecOps. You will need to restart your machine after installing the drivers. After you have installed the game, go to your start menu/programs/Spec Ops. There you will find the options to run either the 3Dfx version of the game, or the software only version. **Please Note** - If you have a joystick plugged into your machine, you must unplug it and restart your machine before playing the game. The keyboard commands will not work if you have a joystick plugged in. (Default mode) This mode tells Ranger Two to close in on you and follow. * DEL - Fire Them Up! This mode lets Ranger Two target his closest enemy. This provides the best attack formation for enemies in front of either Ranger. Ranger Two may take a while to catch up to Ranger One if Ranger One goes to a fast run. * PAGE DOWN - Hold Up! This mode tells Ranger Two to stand his ground. Ranger Two will not move until instructed to do so but will fire at enemies if they get within a certain radius of him. * HOME - Move Up! This mode tells Ranger Two to bound forwrd from Ranger One's location and try to stay close.
