SWIV 3D (c) Copyright 1996 SCi (Sales Curve Interactive) Ltd. Playable Demo 23th August 1996 System Requirements ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Two versions of SWIV 3D appear on this CD, a Windows95 native version and a DOS version. The Windows95 version uses DirectX (See Below) - if you have problems with the DirectX drivers, we suggest you try the DOS version. (This may run faster than the Windows95 version on some hardware configurations.) For Windows95 run INSTALL.EXE For DOS run DOSINST.EXE The Recommended specification of the DEMO is a Pentium 90 or greater. The DEMO version has not been optimised and therefore the final version will run considerably faster. MMX optimised code is not implemented in this version. Controls ~~~~~~~~ If you have a mouse or Joystick plugged in the game will allow you to select your preferred input device. The default keys are as follows: Key Helicopter Up Fly Forward Down Fly Back Right Turn Right Left Turn Left '>' Bank Right '<' Bank Left Space Fire Standard Weapon 'M' Fire Special Weapons CTRL Lock Strafe The Buggy, Skidoo and Hover Ship are not available on this demo. F1 Setup Menu Escape Exit to Menu The DOS version supports analogue joysticks, Gravis Gamepad and Creative Blaster Gamepad. The Windows95 version supports the above products and other DirectInput compatible devices. The appropriate Joystick driver for Windows95 (supplied by the manufacturer) must be installed and calibrated before starting SWIV 3D. CDAudio ~~~~~~~ The audio soundtrack is a CD-A track and due to driver limitations volume control is not available on all machines. Windows95 & DirectX ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Even though Windows95 can have multiple tasks running, more resources are used - to get the best performance from SWIV 3D exit as many programs as possible, before running the game. Do not attempt to switch tasks when SWIV 3D is running as this is not currently supported. SWIV 3D makes use of the DirectX drivers for Windows95 from Microsoft. However as this is relatively new technology drivers may not exist or be 100% compatible on your machine. If you experience problems we suggest you contact your hardware manufacturer who may have updated drivers or use the DOS version. Enjoy! Available (PC Dos & Windows95) November 1996.
