CapClock

Version 1.0

(c) 1992 by John M. Kuttler

Introduction
------------

CapClock is a clock program for Microsoft Windows 3.0 or 3.1 that displays
the time in the caption of the main window of the active application. The
advantage of CapClock is that the time is always visible on the screen, even
if you are running a Windows application full screen.

CapClock will display the time in the main window of an application, but
will not appear in child windows or dialog boxes. This eliminates the
distraction of seeing the time move from window to window while you are
working.

CapClock also offers an alarm that will display a user-defined message at
a designated time.

Installation
------------

Copy the file CAPCLOCK.EXE to your Windows directory (or another directory
of your choice). Select New from the File menu of the Program Manager to
create an icon for the CapClock program. For Windows 3.1 users, move the
CapClock icon to the Startup group to start CapClock each time you start
Windows. Windows 3.0 users can accomplish this by adding CAPCLOCK.EXE to
the "load=" section of the WIN.INI file.

Control Panel
-------------

To access the CapClock control panel, click on the CapClock icon and select
the menu option Control Panel. The Time Format section of the Control Panel
allows you to choose between three different time formats:

     11:59 PM 12-hour time with AM/PM
     23:59 24-hour time
     11:59 12-hour time without AM/PM

The Alarm section of the Control Panel allows you to set an alarm that will
beep and display a user-defined message at a specified time. To activate
the alarm, click on the check box labeled Set Alarm. To specify a time for
the alarm, use the up and down arrows of the scroll bar. Next, type a
message in the space labeled Message and press the OK button.
