Using the Editor

You must use an ANSI or VT100 compatiple terminal in order to use
this function. Telemate, with it's redefinable macro/keyboard is the
prefered program. When you activate the editor, it will prompt you
for a file name. Please use the following format

XYZ00-00.TXT Where XYZ are your initials and 00-00 is the date
                        in MM-DD format.

If you change your mind at the file name prompt, you can back out
by using hitting the escape key.
After you enter the file name, if the file doesn't exist it will
ask if you want to create is. Answer Yes if the file name is correct.

Below are the commands and the control (^) codes which activate
them. You may perfer to assign macros for the more common ones. Most
are the standard ANSI/VT52/102 codes, some are not.

        Help ^J Left ^S Marking Save+
        Insert ^V Right ^D Start ^KB Exit ^KX
        Delete ^G Up ^E End ^KK Resume ^KS
        Home ^QR Down ^X Delete ^KY New ^KD
End ^QC Page Up ^R To File ^KW
        First ^QS Page Dn ^C Move ^KV Abort ^KQ
Last ^QD Back ^H Copy ^KC Quit Esc

If you use Telemate I reccomend you download EDITMAC.ZIP so you
may use the editor a little easier.

If you use Telemate and have installed the custom macro files,
    then follow these instructions.

Turn your NUMLOCK key to OFF. The unlocked keys will now work as
they are labled. PgUp(9) will now do a page up, Ins(0) will change to
the insert mode, (6) will move the cursor to the right, ect.
The grey (alternate keypad) keys will function as normal, ie Page
    Up will initiate an upload.
Several other functions are assigned to the shift+function keys.
    They are assigned as follows

Shift+F1 Editor Help (as opposed to Telemate Help which is F1
Shift+F2 Save the current file and edit a new one
Shift+F3 Abandon this file and edit a new one
Shift+F4 Abandon this file and return to the system

        Shift+F5 Start marked block
        Shift+F6 End marked block
        Shift+F7 Delete marked block
        Shift+F8 Move marked block

Shift+F9 Move to start of line
Shift+F10 Move to end of line
        Shift+F11 Move one word left
        Shift+F12 Move one word right

A command summary can be brought up on the screen at any time by
hitting Shift+F1, however this gives the control codes, not the keys.
It is reccomended that you put this file in your file viewer for quick
