To all who are looking for their Jewish ancestors:

These are informations I've got from the

  Juedisches Regionalmuseum Mittelfranken
  Blumenstrasse 31
  D-W8510 Fuerth
  Germany
  Tel. x49-(0)911-770577

If You are looking for Your Jewish ancestors You are invited to
contact one (or more) of the following information agencies.

For all American immigrations there exists (since about 1940) the

  Leo Baecks Institute
  129 East, 73rd Street
  New York, NY 10021, U.S.A.

For those who are shipped via Hamburg, Bremerhaven etc. You should
contact the municipal archieves ('Stadtarchiv') of those cities and
ask for passenger lists ('Passagierlisten') which are hold even of
the last century.

There are a Jewish archieve in Auschwitz/Poland,
          a Jewish Museum in Krakow('Krakau')/Poland,
          a Jewish Institute in Warszawa('Warschau')/Poland,
You may contact. The answers are almost in Polish.

There is the 'Preussisches Hauptstaatsarchiv' in Berlin, if Your
ancestors have lived in the former Prussia in the last century.
They hold informations about births, marriage-certificates and
death-certificates.

And there is the Central Archive in Jerusalem which is a part of
the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

You may also contact the official agencies of the cities You know.
But it was told to me, that in Poland lots of informations were
destroyed after 1945 (especially those with German-like names).
But a great part of them was sent to Jerusalem.

The most documents which are hold during the 'Dritte Reich' were
confiscated by the 'Gestapo'. Partially they were micro-filmed (and
should be found now in Jerusalem) but partially they were destroyed.

I hope I was able to give You all some joy with this informations.
Thanks to the nice lady who explained me all this! If this
archieves/agencies addresses will be completed by anyone, the
sysop may change/update this file!
