Since INTERNET runs on UNIX you MAY need to run an uuencoder and an uudecoder program to successfully transfer DOS files across the Internet. It depends on what Internet program you are using. First try sending the Capture the Flag saved game and see if it works. I'm told that some of the newer Internet programs handle the uuencoder and the uudecoder functions for you automatically. If it doesn't work that means your Internet program cannot send DOS files successfully. Talk to someone who knows Internet. They will probably give you the UUENCODE/UUDECODE programs. I'm told there are several excellent shareware UUENCODE/UUDECODE programs. Before you send the saved game type "uuencode -s filename.md1 filename" where filename is the 1-8 character name you have given to your saved game. For example, if you gave your save game file the name of cblue1 then you would type "uuencode -s cblue1.md1 cblue1". Then send the uuencode file cblue1 (and not the cblue1.md1) to your opponent. You opponent types "uudecode cblue1" which I'm told recreates the cblue1.md1 file. The cblue1.md1 is now ready to be loaded.
