**** TO MOVE A FILE DIRECTLY FROM THE CDROM PLAYER TO A MACINTOSH(tm) **** The files contained in the MACTOSH directory tree are stored in a MACBINARY format. When these files are transferred via a telecommunications system using a MODEM, they are automatically translated from the MACBINARY format to the normal MACINTOSH(tm) format. If, however, you wish to move a file from the CDROM disc straight to a MACINTOSH(tm) computer this translation must be performed in some other manner. We installed a SHAREWARE program called "MacBinary to Mac" (MB2MAC.SIT) in the root of the MACTOSH directory. UNSTUFFIT 1.5.1 is also in the root of the MACTOSH directory. These two files WILL copy directly to MACINTOSH(tm) folders and work properly. Copy them from the CDROM to your computer, UNSTUFF the MB2MAC.SIT program and follow the instructions provided in the included document. (If you use this program, please register it with the author -- it registers for only $5.00.) After you install it as per the instructions, the Apple File Exchange (this is REQUIRED) will MOVE the file(s) FROM the CDROM to the MAC(tm) AND TRANSLATE at the same time.
