MIS:Korean translates from the Textus Receptus

We received the following news from a missionary who is out under
the Bible Baptist Fellowship International (P.O. Box 191, Springfield,
MO). Missionary Charles Ross says this:

"When I first met Brother Song Lee, he was hungry to learn all he
could about the word of God because there was very little Christian
literature in the Korean language. He began to translate Christian
books that ministered to him into Korean. As he studied the Korean
Bible and compared it with the King James English Bible, he began to
see many errors in the Korean translations. While studying Greek, he
obtained a copy of the Greek Textus Receptus, from which the King James
Version was translated. He discovered the existing Korean translation
was from the Alexandrian text from which the English Revised Version
had been translated. Thus he started awakening about 2 AM each morning
to work five hours in translating the Korean New Testament from the
Greek Textus Receptus. In November, the complete New Testament in the
Korean language is scheduled for publication."

Brother Song Lee has been working with the BBF missionary, Brother
Charles Ross from the Mission Baptist Church in Soasomgtan, Korea. The
church has sacrificed financially, giving $5000 towards the
translation. $7000 more is needed in order to pay for the first
publication. We print this in case any of you are interested in
contacting Brother Charles Ross in regards to getting out a good solid
translation of the Korean Bible in their language.
