ISS:AN EXAMINATION OF HATRED AND ILL-WILL by Bill Jackson

   1. A LETTER FROM DAVID DARIEN "I hope and pray that some day by
God's grace your organization stops your hatred and ill willed, one
sided, judgemental attacks against Catholic Christians." (No address
given)

   2. WHAT WOULD DAVID SAY IF HE READ THIS? (Sent by William Carr,
Wilmington, CA): "The enclosed material is being sent to you and your
Ministry as a WARNING! There is a dark future ahead for PROTESTANT
AMERICA! And as BIBLE-BELIEVING CHRISTIANS, there is a VICIOUS and
EXTREMELY DANGEROUS ENEMY in AMERICA today. YES, MY FELLOW CHRISTIAN
AMERICANS, this DEADLY ENEMY is The ROMAN CATHOLIC INSTITUTION, The
`WHORE' of Revelation 17, The MOTHER of HARLOTS and ABOMINATIONS of the
Earth."

   3. SOME INTERESTING NEWS ITEMS CHRISTIANITY TODAY (9/4/87): In
Bolivia, a 1985 decree imposes severe restrictions on all non-Catholic
churches making them request permission from the Ministry of Culture
before they could hold public meetings.

MOODY MONTHLY (5/88). In Venezuela, RC bishops bitterly charged
evangelicals with proselytizing Catholics and blamed them for preaching
an individualistic salvation without social content and spreading fear
of future judgment.

BAPTIST BIBLE TRIBUNE (8/88 )In Mexico, a priest compared Protestant
"sects" to the AIDS virus. Its leading newspaper attacks evangelical
churches which "draw the poor away from the Roman Catholic Church."

   4. A STATEMENT OF LOVE AND CONCERN My good friend George Ashdown
edits THE REFORMER (London, England). He makes a statement that fits
all the brethren with whom I fellowship in Catholic evangelism. He says:

"We are sometimes accused by people of very differing views of lack
of love because we oppose the errors of Romanism. It is our policy to
extend to every Roman Catholic our love in Jesus Christ; we long for
them to know Him for He alone can save. It is not love to condone
error, to imply that the fundamental differences between Romanism and
Biblical Evangelical Christianity do not exist. It is therefore our
policy to preach the Word..."
