ICR:Update on the ICR Graduate School

The State Department of Education, spearheaded by Superintendent of
Public Instruction Mr. Bill Honig, continues in its efforts to close
the ICR Graduate School of the sciences. As of this writing, the actual
denial of ICRGS license to operate has not yet occurred, but a meeting
re-scheduled for March 12, has the action on its agenda. This
committee, substantially controlled by Honig's office, is expected to
recommend denial of the ICRGS's license to remain in business. Mr.
Honig must then approve or overturn the recommendation, but, of course,
he has promised denial. Such a denial would be appealed by ICR.

Meanwhile, the national publicity the case has generated has
resulted in an increased awareness of the graduate school. A full
summer slate of courses is scheduled in the geology, biology, physics,
and science education majors for this summer-only program.

ICR supporters are reminded that only the graduate school, and not
the other functions of ICR, is affected by this pending action.
