BBB:outstanding verses in Scripture #7

For several months now we have been printing a series of articles
called The Salient Verses in the Bible. We have covered about a hundred
of them without getting out of the Pentateuch. We call these verses
"salient" because of the important place they fill either as correctors
of modern, apostate Fundamentalism, or because of the light they shed
on Greek and Hebrew scholars and scholarship, or because of their
remarkable ability to interpret other verses of scripture. We continue:

Deuteronomy 3:11--The verse with Genesis 4:22 indicates the
connection of IRON with Satan, contrary to all commentators. all
revisers, all scholars, all teachers, and all critics. This IRON is
forbidden in the building of Noah's ark and cannot be heard in the
construction of Solomon's Temple (1 Kings 6:7). The SOUND of an iron
tool was not to be heard in the entire construction. The "iron men"
that show up (Dan. 2) in the Tribulation are ten in number (Rev. 17).
All of this is ignored by the modern, apostate Fundamentalist on
Balaam's ground: the revelation will contribute nothing to the
apostate's income, attendance, or enrollment. If the matters had been
gone into a hundred years back, or even in the last fifty, the
scientists would be in a spasm. IRON COMPOUNDS will be connected with
robots and computers and eventually will be connected GENETICALLY with
humanoids. Opinions to the contrary are to be SNEERED at, especially
when coming from a faculty member of a "Christian" school. Note 1
Samuel 17:7 on one of the greatest types of Antichrist in the Bible.

Deuteronomy 8:3--The verse is quoted by Jesus Christ in Matthew and
Luke and has been neatly aborted in the ASV, NASV, NIV, and other
apostate corruptions recommended by BBC and BJU. In its context it is a
"ministerial" experience par excellent and explains why no man that God
lays His hand on steps into "milk and honey" automatically. If he DOES,
he will apostatize at the first opportunity, for fidelity to God is
determined by learning ONE THING (which Mary learned): the word and
words (notice 6:6) are just as important as physical sustenance. This
means that the words of God are not to be ignored just because they
don't deal with physical sustenance (income, food, clothing, housing,
insurance, retirement, savings, etc.). Every apostate Fundamentalist in
America did just THAT (Hutson, Hudson, Waite, Dell, Sherman, Walker,
Sumner, Bob Jones III, Custer, Afman, Price, Martin, Melton, Kutilek,
et al.).

Deuteronomy 21--The passage is remarkable for it not only describes
Jesus Christ dying in the place of a prodigal son who deserves death
(vv. 18-21 )--"Barabbas" means "Son of the Father"!--but it shows HOW
God's judgment on Israel will end and what conditions are necessary for
God to "lay off" the nation that rejected His Son. The requirements are
given in detail in vv. 1-9. Note that Pilate must have been doing some
reading; he washes his hands! (Don't look for it in the commentaries:
the modern Conservatives and Fundamentalists who rejected the AV text
have no use for anything that will not increase their incomes or
attendance or "soul winning" records. They are not lovers of the word
of God; they are apostates.)

Deuteronomy 22:5--The verse is the standard "secondary separation"
verse for "no slacks, no pedal pushers, no matador britches, no jeans,"
etc. It is stated better in 1 Timothy 2:9. The problem in the Old
Testament is simple; the men ("that which pertaineth unto a man") wore
a short robe with a "skirt" (see Ruth 3), and this is a modern woman's
female "dress." For further information in detail we recommend to the
Bible believer our work on The Pastoral Epistles (1989).

Deuteronomy 23:6--The verse is typical of those "accidental"
wordings one finds in the King James Bible which give advanced
revelation to the twentieth century believer entirely obscured in the
writings and commentaries of the Bible correctors and revisers between
1880 and 1990. Note that it is to her "gods" that Orpah "returns" (Ruth
1), and she is a MOABITESS. The "gods" of the Moabites are revealed
"accidentally" as the two great gods of the western world and the
United States: peace and prosperity. The archaeologists,
paleontologists, and etymologists naturally missed it like a blind man
swinging at a pitched ball.

Deuteronomy 24:4--This is a passage that shows that a second
marriage is more binding than a first one, and this is the passage
referred to in Romans 7:1-2 where Paul innocently says he is writing to
"them that know the law." As it came out, forty million of them didn't.
The one- marriage-ceremony-only boys didn't know either passage in
either Testament. The man referred to by Jesus in Matthew 19:9 is not
"engaged" at all (like Joseph). He has not just "taken" the wife; he
has MARRIED HER (Deut. 24:1). The "some uncleanness" in the passage
could not possibly be Joseph's case, for if it had been lack of
virginity, the orders were to STONE her (Deut. 22:21). The passage
again emphasizes the unbelief (and stupidity) of the twentieth century
"Bible" teachers.

Deuteronomy 29:6--The passage with Deuteronomy 32:14 shows that the
Blood of Christ is typified by new wine ("the pure blood of the grape")
and NOT fermented, old wine. The ridiculous NKJV put out by Truman
Dollar, A.V. Henderson, James Price, and other apostates alters the
verses so they contradict each other.

Deuteronomy 32:31--Salient, for it identifies the Roman Catholic
"rock" (Simon Peter) as being different from the Christian's "Rock"
(Jesus Christ) and capitalizes one--which would not be done in any
Hebrew manuscript--so you can tell the difference. Note that the wine
used in "communion" (vv. 32-33) is not the fermented liquor used in the
"sacrifice of the mass" (French: "MESS"!).

Deuteronomy 33:2--Essential in correcting Clarence Larkin, C.I.
Scofield, Darby, Pentecost, Rockwood, Kirban, Lindsay, and Webber on
the route of the Second Advent (see Judges 5 and comments). As usual,
the 1611 English gives advanced light not only on ethics, morals,
dispensations, doctrines, and contemporary trends, but also on
prophecy. Normal.

Joshua 2:15--Very instructive, for later it is called a "thread" and
a "line." A line is made up of "cords," and each of these cords is
composed of smaller threads. Thus, this is one line about an inch
thick, composed of cords about a quarter of an inch thick, that are
made up of threads about a sixteenth of an inch thick. Thus a "scarlet
thread" appears twisted down and around the "line" from top to bottom.

Joshua 6:4--A violation of the Sabbath, showing grace under the Law.
Notice the same thing in Joshua 5:4-6, where if the strict letter of
the Law had been kept, all of these would have died. This shows that
GRACE is NOT a "dispensation," as the Hyper-Dispensationalists misread
it in Ephesians 3 (Watkins, Stam, O'Hair, Bullinger, et al.). There is
GRACE in a faith-and-works situation. GRACE extends from Genesis 1 to
Revelation 22, but dispensations do include works only, faith and
works, and faith only. (Don't expect ANY of the Sword of the Lord crowd
or any of the faculty members at BBC or BJU to be able to grasp ANY of
that. They never majored in Bible study.)

Joshua 24:19--Crucial. He is saying that if you want to serve God,
you can't do it. This is the kind of thing that puts the modern Bible
expositor slap out of his mind, if he has any left to start with. The
only possible explanation is that Joshua is reading their minds and
will not accept any profession of consecration or dedication until they
declare themselves on a NEGATIVE ISSUE. No amount of "we WILL do this"
or "we WILL do that" can avail as long as there is not a public
declaration of "we WILL NOT do so and so." In this case it should have
been "we WILL NOT serve idols, and we WILL NOT keep them in our homes
or on our persons." This declaration was never made (v. 23).

Judges 5:4,5,8,10,11,19,20--all deal with the Second Advent (see
Deut. 32 and Gen. 49 in this respect), as does Exodus 15.

Judges 7:20--What appears to be a stupid plan set up to test one's
faith turns out to be a masterpiece of strategy, for at night three
hundred lamps, showing up out of nowhere approximately a hundred yards
apart, represent THREE HUNDRED REGIMENTS (or at least battalions), each
with its own trumpeter and guide. What the Midianites see is an
"encirclement" with only one opening to it: the southeast exit down the
valley of Armageddon. Again the typology, according to Isaiah 9:4 and
10:26, is the Second Advent. Naturally all of the Greek and Hebrew
scholars and all of the faculty members of TTS, BBC, and BJU missed it.
Par for the course.

Judges 9:8-15--The passage helps define the tree of the knowledge of
good and evil as a VINE TREE. This is the "forbidden fruit" of Numbers
6 and explains why BLOOD is forbidden in all three Testaments (before
the Law, Gen. 9; under the Law, Lev. 17; and after the Law, Acts 15).
It also explains the remarks we made about Adam's blood and "flesh and
blood" under Genesis 2:23. The olive tree pictures the tree of life
(the Holy Spirit); the fig tree, self-righteousness (Israel); and the
vine tree, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. The "bramble"
(v. 14) matches the "thorns and thistles" (Gen. 3).
