BBB:The typical profession

We have a statement of doctrine here given to "Mission to Europe's
Millions, Inc." Article number one, "I believe the entire Old and New
Testaments ARE the only verbally inspired revelation of God, inerrant
in the original writings. They ARE the only guide and final authority
in matters pertaining to faith and life." Scriptural proof, 2 Timothy
3:1 6.

Notice four things about "the statement of faith." One, the only
guide you have is something you have never seen or read. Two, your
final authority is something you have never seen or read. Three,
something you have never seen or read, you never will see or read on
this earth. Four, the present tense has been used where there isn't one
"verbally inspired" original autograph on the face of this earth, or
any "original writings." The verse used to prove the statement (2 Tim.
3:16) is not a reference to original autographs one time in either
Testament. The word "scripture" in either Testament is never a
reference to "original autographs" in any contsxt in which it appears.
This statement is absolutely typical. It is the twentieth century
"historic position" of apostates, who believe that they themselvas are
the final authority and guide in "all matters of faith and practice,"
and disguise it by making you think that they actually believe that
their real guide and authority is something they have never seen or
read. Absolutely typical, par for the course.
