NEW FEATURES FOR SUBSCRIBERS STARTING FEB. 1st !!!

1. The BONUS File Collection will only list files that are 
   DOWNLOADABLE NOW.  The "requestables" will be elsewhere:

2. New "Mahoney" files will be listed in the MAHONEY Collection, from 
   where you can request them.  When they come in, they'll be listed 
   in the BONUS Collection, from where you'll download them.  The 
   MAHONEY Collection will be updated every other day, as now.

3. New "Windows" files will be listed in the WINDOWS Collection, and 
   you'll request them from there and download them when they come in 
   from the BONUS Collection, as above.  The WINDOWS Collection will 
   be updated once a week.

4. Ditto "Pictures" files in the PICTURE File Collection, and "ASP" 
   files in the ASP Collection, which will both be updated weekly.

PLUS--GET THIS---A "TURBO LOG-ON" feature!!!  See below:




     Some of you have complained that there are too many "welcome 
screens" and "news items" and "message checks" to endure before you 
get to the Main Menu.  I put those up there for most users mainly 
because I want them to see if I've changed anything. BUT....for 
SUBSCRIBERS ONLY, starting February 1st, you will be able to log on to 
HIS BOARD and go STRAIGHT to where you want to go--WITHOUT all the 
preliminaries!!
     Here's how this works:  When you FIRST log on, and the system 
asks for your FIRST NAME, give the following information ALL ON ONE 
LINE:

                    Firstname Lastname password !

Separate your first name, last name, password, and the exclamation 
mark with spaces as shown.  MAKE SURE IT'S ALL ON ONE LINE.  AND MAKE 
SURE THE EXCLAMATION MARK (!) IS THERE AS SHOWN.  If you do that, the 
system will take you STRAIGHT to the Main Menu of HIS BOARD--
IMMEDIATELY.  No welcome screens, no "News Room," no message checks--
NO NOTHING!!

     Now suppose you want to get to the BONUS Collection in a hurry? 
Very simple; here's the string to use WHEN YOU FIRST LOG-ON, and the 
system asks, "What is your first name?":

                 Firstname Lastname password !BONUS

(That's your first name, a space, your last name, a space, your 
password, a space, and the exclamation mark (!) followed IMMEDIATELY--
without a space--by the word "BONUS".)

     The same procedure is followed for ANY File Collection you might 
want to get to when you first log on:

                Firstname Lastname password !Mahoney

for the MAHONEY Collection, or:

                  Firstname Lastname password !MAC

for the MACINTOSH Collection, or:

                Firstname Lastname password !PICTURE

for the PICTURE File Collection, or:

                Firstname Lastname password !WINDOWS

for the WINDOWS Collection.   See how it works?

AHHHH.....BUT THERE'S MORE.....

     Suppose you want to "turbo log on" straight to a Conference?  NO 
PROBLEM!  Here's the procedure:

          Firstname Lastname password !(conference number)

For example, if you want to "turbo log on" directly to the SPACE 
Conference, you just enter the following:

                   Firstname Lastname password !75

(That's your first name, followed by a space, your last name, a space, 
your password, a space, and then the exclamation point (!) followed 
IMMEDIATELY--no spaceband--by the Conference Number.  You'll need to 
memorize the conference number first, of course.)

AND ONE LAST THING.....

You can "jump" from a Conference to a File Collection using the J 
command at the Conference Room Menu as a shortcut.  For example, from 
within any Conference, at the Conference Room menu, enter this:

                               J;BONUS

or

                               J BONUS

and you'll be taken STRAIGHT to the BONUS File Collection.

     (This also works from HIS BOARD's Main Menu, but with the "Z" 
replacing the "J."  In other words, you can have a little shortcut by 
typing "Z;BONUS" or "Z BONUS" from the Main Menu instead of the "F" 
command.)
