Overview:
Hyper-Text Markup Language is the language used for
writing pages for the World Wide Web. HTML Editors assist the author by providing buttons
and icons that insert the necessary tags. WYSIWYG stands for "What You See Is What
You Get" and this category is for editors with a "WYSIWYG" interface.
Rather than having a text interface like many editors, WYSIWYG editors show you
approximately what the final page is going to look like, Images are added to where they
are supposed to go, rather than adding an img src= or any such thing.
Also see Beginner, Text Based, Toolbar Based, and Advanced Editors for
the full spectrum of HTML Editors.
