                                    JAVA
The Programming Language for the Internet

Java is the first language environment designed to meet the challenges of
application development for the Internet. It was developed specifically to
meet the needs of heterogeneous, network-wide, distributed environments
requiring the secure delivery of applications that consume the minimum of
system resources, can run on any hardware and software platform, and can be
extended dynamically.

Developing your applications using Java results in software that is, as its
creators at Sun like to say, buzzword compliant: object-oriented,
distributed, robust, secure, architecture-neutral, portable,
high-performance, multithreaded and dynamic.
