Title: WWF WrestleMania

Manufacturer: Midway manufacturing,co./Sculptured software,inc.

Distributor: Acclaim entertainment,inc.

Type: Arcade/Wrestling

Brief Description: The 1st WWF wrestling game to feature detailed and fully
digitized images and smooth animation during gameplay.
One of the greatest arcade games to date makes it to the
Sony PSX in great faithfulness to the arcade just as
Midway's Mortal Kombat 3 did back in September.

Comments by the X - After playing the old 16-BIT WWF games like Monday Night
RAW and Royal Rumble, just gives Acclaim's old series of
WWF-based wrestling games a disappointing feel due to
                    extremely unrealistic graphics and sounds.
Now that's all changed! Thanks to the power of the
All-American manufacturers, Midway, based in Chicago, IL,
the WWF is finally brought to the videogame screen with
unbelivable detail and gameplay as smooth as MK3.

Being a huge fan of the World Wrestling Federation for the
past decade, I really don't mind the exagerated MK-like
moves that Midway put in, since it doesn't extract from
realism that the digitized wrestlers' smooth and realistic
                    movements give.

This is a must-have for all self-respecting MK and WWF
fans alike (hey, I'm both), great animation in digital
detail and quick control-response along with a huge
amount of fun in gameplay tagged along makes this one of
the gretest games out for the Sony PSX.

codes, etc. Coming soon to CompuServe's videogames forum!

Plus, a note to the polygon fans out there who were in the discussion...

This is a case where polygon graphics won't do much good since wrestling
games have suffered a severe unrealism in graphic looks in the past, a good
detailed digitized look just doesn't fail in any way, just as it doesn't
in the NBA Jam series (another one of my personal favs).

And a message to the good ol' couragous group who joined in with strong
opinions at my "Digitized vs Polygons" thread on CompuServe, I truly believe
that this is a case where there is no way that "great" polygon graphics but
with control sacraficed could possibly beat the quick, responsive, control
of games like MK3 and WWF here. (Ofcourse, I don't feel that polygons are
any better than digitized graphics, but this is a point I just had to make:)
Graphics make part of a game, not the whole, control counts.
(In other words, a game with "ok" graphics and the best control, etc., beats
a game with great graphics and the worst control and fun factor.)

Oh, and 1 more thing: The Digitized vs Polygons discussion is OVER, Shade
and I ended it a while ago; and thanks for joining Randy.
Because discussions like that are just never-ending opinion-based topics
which will never end and is not worth using up millions in OnLine time to
talk about, so please, no more.
