-----------------------------------------------------------------

I spoke by phone with Mr. Skolnick on August 18, 1995. Note that
in what follows I neither necessarily agree nor disagree with
either all or parts of statements made by Mr. Skolnick. Persons
mentioned are invited to send rebuttals, of reasonable length,
for probable distribution.

CONSPIRACY NATION:
Goin' back to Joan Lefkow and Sheila Foster Anthony: Sheila
Foster Anthony is one of the ones that can potentially either
confirm or not confirm Lefkow's elevation in status.

SHERMAN SKOLNICK:
According to the operation of the Justice Department, Sheila
Foster Anthony heads up the nominating/selection procedure. The
Justice Department, through the FBI, screens appointees. Before
the president appoints a new federal district judge, it has to go
through a screening process. And then that screening process is
reviewed by the Senate Judiciary Committee, prior to the whole
Senate voting on ratifying the appointment.

Lefkow is a U.S. Magistrate Judge, pending ratification, to the
district court bench. The ratification has been held up, in part
because of that we complained about her, that she allowed a
Justice Department official to threaten me outside her door --
she's a witness to it! And there's a direct connection to [Vince]
Foster's sister.

Further than that, you may recall I had commented (and I think
you put my comments out on Internet), I had commented on Foster's
brother-in-law, Sheila Foster's husband Beryl Anthony, who is a
top official of the Winston and Strawn law firm, in their
District of Columbia office. The chairman of that firm is the
former governor of Illinois, Jim Thompson. And in a television
show, I've accused him and his law firm of being involved in
massive smuggling of high-purity heroin, called "China White",
through Joliet, Illinois.

CONSPIRACY NATION:
Okay, but goin' back to this Lefkow and Sheila Anthony: so that
if Lefkow wants to get an elevation in status, there's a conflict
of interest, that, on your matters that are...

SHERMAN SKOLNICK:
Yeah. In a petition that I just filed, in court, I'm bringing the
matter up before her supervisor, who's a district judge: Wayne
Andersen. In other words, Magistrate Lefkow works under the wing
of U.S. District Judge Wayne Andersen.

I brought up a petition to him, pending now, that she shouldn't
rule on anything involving me because she allowed, permitted, and
condoned that I be threatened with terrible harm for having
brought out these things like the $50 million transfer of RTC
funds for the Whitewater thing; that Lefkow *heard* the situation
of me being threatened by a Justice Department official right
outside her door and didn't do anything to protect me as a
litigant. In law, it's called "obstruction of justice": if you
threaten physical or other harm against a litigant or witness in
court, you're violating a federal criminal statute.

In other words, you can't go around threatening all kinds of harm
against a witness or litigant in court and not be subject to
federal criminal law! She didn't do anything to protect me.

CONSPIRACY NATION:
All right. I guess what I'm lookin' for is like a *quid pro quo*:
that Sheila Foster Anthony can confirm Lefkow's elevation in
return for...

SHERMAN SKOLNICK:
Well she's not... Well... It's not as simplistic as that.

Sheila Foster Anthony is the head of the legislative affairs
department of the Justice Department, okay? And she plays an
instrumental role in the nominating process as to who, if anyone,
gets appointed as a federal official, of the three categories I
mentioned: U.S. Marshall, U.S. Judge, and U.S. District Attorney.

So Sheila Foster Anthony plays a key role in that. And what she
does and says, and records which she keeps of the screening
process that she is in charge of, could make or break an
appointee!

CONSPIRACY NATION:
All right, but what I don't understand is that, all right, so
she's got some power over Lefkow. But...

SHERMAN SKOLNICK:
Yeah. She's...

CONSPIRACY NATION:
...But what is she...

SHERMAN SKOLNICK:
...Lefkow. I said in my petition in court just recently, that
it's being manipulated. In other words, they're threatening
Magistrate Lefkow that, if she doesn't do somethin' to squelch
Skolnick, that she won't ever *become* a district judge.

CONSPIRACY NATION:
Okay. All right. That was basically what I was trying to figure
out.

SHERMAN SKOLNICK:
That's a matter of record! I've made that contention in court:
that she allows me to be threatened by a Justice Department
official outside of her door because of a cover-up! And the
cover-up of the Lynette Redmer confession, that you know about.
