Subject: Re: Mailing Lists

The heavier load on the Prairienet computer and the larger
number of mailing lists seems to be revealing problems with
the listprocessor software. Unfortunately, it's the best
software there is for mailing lists that doesn't cost
thousands of $$$ per year.

I've just made two important changes to the listprocessor:
	1. It is no longer automatically restarted unless it's
actually died. This is because it seemed that some messages
were getting lost during the restarts.

	2. Every morning at 7:00 am an independent process runs
	that delivers any undelivered messages.

We'll see how things work out. But the upshot is that no message should
go undelivered beyond 7:00 am the next day.

Apologies to the list owners for these problems, and thanks for your
patience.
