               Author: David Roman Kominek
                Title: 68000 Board
Date: start (design): March 12
      finish (design): March 13
            raytracer: Polyray 1.7
modeller: pencil, a ruler and lots of paper!
               e-mail: drk@unix.infoserve.net

total rendering time: 10 hours and 30 minutes.
on a 16MHz 386 w/math-co (at 640x480 antialising adaptive 3 threshold 0.10)

Once again, all modelling was done using my brother's old Amiga 500.
I took it apart and took some measurements and the used a text editor,
actually PovShell 3.0 (exellent prog). The hardest part of this image
was getting just the right camera angle and light sources. One great thing
that Polyray has, that POV doesn't, is wireframe preview. Using the
wireframe (which take a couple of seconds to render), it makes it easy
to find the camera angle you want. For light sources, I used one
directional light, and a spot light. The spot light effect I was looking
for isn't quite there, but I guess I'm still very happy with the result.

One thing that boggles me about Polyray (plygcc) is that when I try to render
an image with -q 1 and antialiasing it tends to just freeze up somewhere
in the image? anybody out there know why?

Post image processing done on Piclab 1.91 .

feel free to e-mail me any comments, ideas, etc.
