Current Games
     Two new long term games started up this month.

Empire Toolkit 3.0.10 Released
     Kevin Morgan has placed a bugfix release on the PEA.

An Interesting History of Empire
     Doug Pitters has set up an empire-related web page.

Empire Server 3 Is Now the Official Server
     An experimental server is also available.

Server Coding Projects Available
     The RESEARCH option is one that needs coding.

Lunatic Fringe
     was won by Park Place.

     Euro Empire VII and Spring Fever began since the last Empire News.

Current Blitzes  (http://www.empire.net/~children/pea_pages/blitzes.html)
     The Howitzer and UAlberta blitzes are the best places to start learning
     Empire. Some deities of long-term games also run test blitzes in the
     interim. Check out the pea_pages for the latest information on game
     locations and times.

Kevin Morgan Has Posted an Updated Toolkit.
     3.0.10 is a bugfix release. Download it from the player section of the PEA
      (http://www.empire.net/~children/PEA/players/tools/).

Doug Pitters' Empire Web Page
     An empire-related information page includes an interesting personal
     history of empire. Check it out  (http://web.mit.edu/madpit/www/empire/).

Client Discussion Mailing List.
     Subscribe to the discussion list focussing on client development by
     sending mail to empire-client-request@empire.net with "subscribe" in the
     message body. Approval for inclusion takes place before you receive any
     mail. Catch up on archived messages by visiting the Planet Empire
     Archives, under Client Discussion
      (http://www.empire.net/~children/empire-client/).

==Server==

The Empire 3 Server
     If you'd like to try running the new server
      (http://www.empire.net/~children/PEA/deity/server/), it is available on
     PEA. 
     The experimental
     (http://www.empire.net/~children/PEA/deity/server/experimental/)
    server is also available. It contains a few changes and is now at
    release 3.1.6.
     

Coding Projects Available
     The RESEARCH option is one example of a coding change that needs to be
     undertaken. Please contact Ken Stevens (children@empire.net) if you have
     the interest to take on and complete one of the projects.

Empire Server Discussion Mailing List
 (http://www.empire.net/~children/empire-list/)
     The mailing list, a forum of discussion regarding changes to the server,
     has been established. If you have time to help with the server project, or
     would like to participate in the on-going plans, send mail to
     empire-server-request@empire.net with "subscribe" in the message body.
     There is an approval process, so any useful information about your
     interest in the discussion helps.
     
     A more general mailing list is available to all coders, good players, and
     especially deities. Subscribe to this list to keep abreast of all coding
     changes by sending mail to empire-list-request@empire.net with "subscribe"
     in the message body.
     
     To subscribe to a digest, send mail to majordomo@empire.net, and include
     in the body: "subscribe empire-list-digest".
