   The computerized BBS that is the official LIVE FREE BBS is the Survival
Communications Forum (707)545-0746.  The System Operator (SysOp) is Don Kulha.
The BBS is a large megabyte system with multiple message bases, multiple text
file areas, and has downloads of public domain software and Shareware for the
MS-DOS operating system.  The SCF is linked with both FIDOMAIL for transfer of
private messages from one FIDO node to another, as well as ECHOMAIL for
transfer of public messages from one ECHOMAIL linked BBS to another.  It has
linked sub-boards with various BBS, such as the John Galt Line and Pinecliff.
This BBS is not accessable via PC Pursuit as of Aug. 88.
  Another BBS that is informally associated with LIVE FREE is Ken's
Survivalists' BBS  (314)821-2815.  The SysOp is Ken Seger.  The BBS runs on
TBBS software 300/1200/2400 in St. Louis,MO.  The system is 90Meg with over 30
message sub-boards, multiple text file areas, and a small selection of public
domain software for various operating systems.  The text file areas which are
available to all callers (validated, unvalidated, members or non-members of
LIVE FREE) includes, by permission, ALL of the text files of the FORT FREEDOM
BBS which is a private BBS run for the subscribers of Petr Beckmann's Access to
Energy newsletter.  Before being able to download software, callers must be
validated and pass a short survival quiz which is based on various text files
in the <N>ews text file area.  This BBS is accessable via PC Pursuit.
   For those who would like to find out more about PC Pursuit or sign up for
it, this is the essential information. It costs $25 a month, which gives you
unlimited modem calling (not voice) time, between 6 PM and 7AM Mon-Fri, and all
weekend from Fri at 5 PM until Mon at 7 AM. Calls can be made to most major
metropolitan areas.

 If you are spending more than $25 a month on long distance modem
calling, this is a great bargain.
    Other BBSs that might be of interest to survivalists are, PineCliff (303)

Florida, the Bullet N' Board (703)971-4491 (RBBS?) in Maryland, and ExecuNet

    All of the above boards are open to any type of computer and most will
adjust line length/wrap to your termianl setting.
