NEC P-200 & P-300 Programming
The the P2 (P200) and P3 (P300) can be reprogrammed by means of a
cable which attaches to your computer's parallel port and the phone's
accessory connector. All the
software below requires this cable. NAM programming is done through
test mode. Several programs below can put the phone into this mode.
P3 PROM, modified to allow ESN change from the
keypad. Unknown if this will work on the P2.
Note: using the programs below may require you to translate ESN formats.
Several programs are available:
- esnnecp2 is a basic program that I wrote
when I didn't have any better one. not accurate, good for academic interest in how its done.
- ESNconv by Spectrum Anarchy. Hex, AMPS (US) and TACS (U.K.)
- esnv33 by Uncle Gazzer. Hex, Amps, Tacs.

- p3mem reads / writes phone's memory to /from file
- p3esn writes an ESN given on command line (in U.K. format) to phone.
- p3test puts the phone into test mode.

Ricochet
- p3 writes ESN to phone & leaves it in test mode. (expects ESN in U.K. format)
- p3-read puts phone into test mode and makes it display ESN in USA (AMPS) decimal format
