UPS ShipFast Version 1.0 Help


Entering Package Information.

The ShipFast interface consists of one user friendly shipment entry screen.  
This is the place where you can add new package entries, edit existing 
entries and view shipment cost information.

   Entering A Shipment...

      1.  The first field labeled order # is for your reference and is 
          required.  If your company does not use a order number system, a 
          simple solution is to use the unique record number provided by 
          ShipFast.  This can be done by typing the number appearing in red, 
          located to the upper right of the Order #.  Initially this number is 
          called (AutoNumber). After you initialize the current record by 
          typing any character in the order # field, ShipFast will generate 
          a unique number and display it in place of AutoNumber.  You could 
          simply append a "1-" to the ShipFast generated number by typing "1-" 
          (ShipFast Number Appear) then the number that appeared in place of 
          AutoNumber.

      2.  Enter the destination zip code in the field labeled zip code.

      3.  If the package(s) is being shipped to a residence mark the 
          residential check box.
  
      4.  If the package(s) require a call tag mark the call tag check box.
    
      5.  simply type the weight of each individual package in the weight 
          field. there is no limit to the number of packages you can add under 
          one zip code and order number.

      6.  If you need to change the service from the default ground then simply 
          choose the appropriate selection from the drop-down list labeled service 
          type.  If you change the service type after typing in a weight ShipFast 
          will update the charges accordingly.
      
      7.  If the package is a COD, click in the associated COD field and type the
          amount to be charged to the receiver.  ShipFast will automatically add 
          the $4.75 and update the total UPS charges on the entry screen and 
          shipment report.

      8.  To move to the next record click the button with the star & asterisk, 
          2nd button in from the left.

      9.  To edit previous records use the Access navigation keys near the 
          bottom of the screen.


   Editing the Pickup Number...

      1.  Click the ShipFast options menu button, 2nd button in from the right, 
          next to the ups report button.

      2.  Under the options menu click Adjust Pickup Number and adjust accordingly.


   Editing Company Information...

      1.  Click the ShipFast Options Menu button, 2nd button in from the right, 
          next to the ups report button.

      2.  Under the options menu click Company Information.  Edit the company 
          information accordingly.  The Sample version of ShipFast has OpenCube 
          Technologie's name and address information.  The registered version 
          comes defaulted with your companies name and address already set up.  
          This information is used to display the appropriate company and shipper 
          number data in the UPS report.
