Introduction

ZipLabel is a Windows 95/3.1 tool for creating inserts for your Zip disk cartridges. It makes figuring out which file is on which disk a breeze! On August 15, 1997 version 1.6 was released as shareware.

Version 1.6 Released

ZipLabel 1.6 is out, with images! Now your Zip disk collection can be graced by pictures of your kids and pets. If ZipLabel is as useful to you as it is to me, then the registration fee is a bargain. See the shareware section for more information.

Before you download the new version, take a look at its features.

Disclaimer

The ZipLabel software is released without any guarantees as to its abilities or lack of bugs. In plain English: you run it, it blows something up, I'm not responsible. I try and fix any bugs that I can reproduce, so if it does crash on you please email me and I'll look into it. I am especially interested in Win32s performance, as I no longer run Windows 3.1.

Finally, I would like to make it clear that I am not affiliated with Iomega Corp. All names are copyright of their respective owners. Iomega and Zip Drive are copyright of Iomega Corp.

Requirements

ZipLabel requires the following:

. Windows 95 or Windows 3.1 (requires latest Win32s - 1.30c)
. Printer
. 800x600 display (although 640x480 is workable)

Shareware

ZipLabel is shareware, the best kind of "try before you buy" available. If ZipLabel is useful to you, a $15.00 registration fee is requested. Once you register, you're automatically registered for future versions, and will recieve notice of upgrades. Corporate licensing is available, please contact the author for details. See the README file for more information.

Registered User Bonus

As an added bonus, registered users will have the option of customizing their versions of ZipLabel. The labels produced will then contain the user's initials instead of "zip." You can see an example of this in the screenshots section, where I've customized my version with my initials.

Download ZipLabel

You can download ZipLabel from the following link, or if GeoCities is too slow you can try searching on any large Windows software archive. There is now only one executable for both Windows 3.1 and Windows 95.

Special Thanks

Thanks to everyone who's emailed me with comments and suggestions.

I'd like to thank Michel Lefort for the program icon, and Jim Resinger who sent me a Zip Disk!

Comments

If you have a problem please look at the included documentation. It's spartan but contains 90% of what the program can do. You can email me with any bugs or suggestions or questions at earle@geocities.com. Thanks for reading this page, and help support the shareware concept.
