          Epilogue.

The Children have made my logs available to the
previous century, from their knowledge of the
laws of time, and because they want you to know
about where you are going at a point in Time
when you might make decisions that could alter
the future for better or worse for them. They
are not concerned with their own fate. Only
the fate of the Universe is important and the
steps we take from now on can not interfere
          with that.

You might say from reading this account that it
leaves as many questions unanswered as there
are answered ones. And to that accusation, I
would have to plead guilty. But that's what is
so wonderful about Science. As soon as you
learn something, it leads you to another
question. And you continue the quest of
knowledge from one question to another. The
level of knowledge gets deeper and deeper, but
you never reach the bottomline of any given
question. It's my feeling that God designed
the universe to work this way. Yes, I believe
in a Supreme Being, the Creator of all these
things, not because I was witness to so much
creation recently, but because there seems to
me that the overwhelming evidence of Science
seems to point to the footsteps, the
fingerprints of a Supreme Creator. We may
never know God as we might like to, but that's
OK too, if God designed it to be that way. I
can live with that. The very fact that so much
is comprehensible and that so much is left for
us to explore and guess at, is evidence enough
to me of an order, a kind of guessing game that
has the stamp of a very clever Creative force
written all over it, between the lines, so to
          speak.

This is probably the way it should be. Think
about it. If you were suddenly God, you
wouldn't want all the problems that come to a
God, so you keep yourself at a distinct
distance. Look at all the problems that
celebrities go through. God, being the biggest
celebrity of all would have an even tougher
time. We're so lucky that we are able to get
as close as we do, when you think of it. In my
case, we got very close. We were so close, I'm
convinced we had a special audience with the
'Man Upstairs' as they say. But God, as you
might have seen with us, is not a man or a
woman, but a kind of music. Everything else
we've seen in this affair had to do with music.
The music of Science is there for anyone to
'hear' with their hearts. It's not the kind of
music you hear with the ears, or see with the
eyes, or feel with the fingers. The Creator of
all things is an energy that you feel with each
cell of your being. When you know something at
this level, it's part of the this original
          music we've experienced here.

I don't believe I can be more specific than
this. I know this is hard to explain, but I
was there at the moment of the birth of a
completely new entity in the universe as we
know it. How all the pieces came to be so
closely related and all the questions, I know
you must have will be the subject of a major
study that Ellen and I have already begun on
our return journey. We're asking ourselves
some very basic questions. I'm not sure we
have the energy left to give you any more
answers. But I know the realization of what
happened to us out there on Darwin will be of
value to some of you, maybe even all of you at
          some point in your lives.

If you ever have doubts about your purpose in
life, if you're ever so down in the dumps you
might actually consider ending your life, if
you ever have something happen to you that is
so difficult to accept and is so
heartbreakingly painful that you don't think
there could be a God watching out for you, then
just remember this incident on Darwin. Take
some consolation from the fact that life seems
to be the most important thing in the universe
and that you as a living thing, participate in
this great on-going celebration. Take it to
heart. Learn from it. Take courage. Hang in
there just a little longer. There is always a
better time just one thought away.
