This file contains a set of .WAV files for use with the FIBS/W 
program.

To enable the sound effects in FIBS/W, run the Windows Control 
Panel and double-click on the Sound tool. Scroll down the Events list
box until you find events of the form "FIBS/W ....". You may 
assign sounds to these events in the same way that sounds are
assigned to standard Windows events. For instructions on how to 
do this, press the "Help" button in the Windows Control Panel 
Sound tool.

Please note that FIBS/W will *not* play sounds on speaker sound drivers
since these drivers cause serious problems with COM port interrupts.

If you experience communications problems while using WAV files with 
FIBS/W, please disable the sounds. Windows communications support
is very sensitive to interrupt activity when running high-speed 
serial connections; the additional overhead of servicing sound
card interrupts may cause communications problems on some machines.

The file FIBSWSFX.ZIP contains a sample set of .WAV files to get you 
started. Unzip thes files, and place them in the Windows directory 
(C:\WINDOWS if this is appropriate for your system).
