To Connect Via a Direct Modem Link
----------------------------------

  1.  Make sure to set the same:
	Stop Bits
	Baud
	Parity

  2.  Make sure to set the checker
      colors different

  3.  One party must decide to be
      the "caller" and the other
      be the "answerer"

  Steps to Establish a Connection:
  --------------------------------

  1.  The answerer must select
      the menu choice Modem|Wait for
      Call.  
   
  2.  The caller should put the
      answerer's phone number in his/
      her "Other Person's Phone
      Number" box on the modem setup
  
  3.  The caller then select the 
      Modem|Dial menu choice

  4.  When the answerer hears the call
      (the phone rings), then he/she
      clicks the connect button.

  5.  Be patient, after the two modems
      connect, wait about 5-10 seconds
      before you begin gameplay.

  6.  Gameplay proceeds by dragging 
      your checker to the spot you 
      want it to go to.  Be precise,
      right now, the game is fairly 
      sensitive and if you are close,
      but not close enough it will 
      end your turn as if you actually
      made a move.  

  7.  To let the other play go, end
      your turn by pressing the end
      turn button.  

  8.  The game will let you know when
      someone wins and does support
      multiple jumps and king moves.
