BOXEM - V1.0 (c) Copyright 1993 - All Rights Reserved by Flat Rabbit Software (TM) P.O. Box 58115 Webster, TX 77598 ====DESCRIPTION: BOXEM is board game suitable for both children and adults. BOXEM has high fidelity pictures (256 colors) and sounds (22,000 Hz *.WAV format) to make the playing experience more enjoyable. Each picture has a description with interesting facts. Most people usually play the game a few times for the challenge; then, they play the game to see all the pictures, listen to all the sounds, and read all the keenly accurate descriptions. BOXEM also allows the user to add their own pictures, sounds, and keenly accurate descriptions to the game. BOXEM is a simple game of logic similar to "pen-the-pig" or "squares". The object of the game is to build more boxes (squares) on the game grid than your opponent. Each box is formed one side at a time by connecting two grid points. A player scores a point when their move creates a four sided box. When a complete box is made, the box is "removed" to show a portion of a picture which lies under the BOXEM playing board. When all the boxes are made, the complete picture becomes visible, a sound related to the picture is played (either through a sound board or the PC speaker) and a brief description of the picture appears. ====REQUIREMENTS: 386 or better Windows 3.1 4 Megabytes RAM VGA (at least 640x480 with 256 colors) mouse 1.8 Megabytes disk space (1.3 after removing install file) Sound board optional (sounds will play through the PC speaker if no sound board is available) ====COST: $15 with 6 additional pictures / sounds / descriptions $20 with 12 additional pictures / sounds / descriptions $25 with 18 additional pictures / sounds / descriptions The registered version of BOXEM also comes with information on how to include your own pictures / sounds / descriptions into the game. ====INSTALLATION: There are two installation options.
