README.txt 9/93 WinSaw is a Windows game that emulates old-fashioned jigsaw puzzles. To play, load any Windows *.BMP image file from disk. The image is converted into a random set of tiles which you can select and drag into position to re-create the original picture. Only the Windows *.BMP file format is supported. For best results, use files that match your full screen resolution. Files can be readily converted from other formats to BMP format and resized using conversion utilities such as Paint Shop Pro or PhotoLab. The application requires Windows 3.1, a VGA or Super VGA display, and the Visual Basic runtime library VBRUN300.DLL in your Windows\System Directory. VBRUN300.DLL is available free on CompuServe and many other services. The following files are provided in the WinSaw package: Visual Basic components: cmdialog.vbx, commdlg.dll, piclip.vbx, threed.vbx Setup program files: setup.exe, setup1.exe, setupkit.dll, setup.lst, ver.dll The WinSaw program: winsaw.exe To install WinSaw, you cannot simply copy files onto your hard disk. You must use the Setup program which decompresses and installs the files in appropriate directories. To run Setup, 1) From the File menu of the Windows Program Manager or File Manager, choose Run. 2) Type a:setup (substitute source file path for a: if source files are in some other location). 3) Follow the Setup instructions on the screen. WinSaw is freeware. Enjoy! Richard LeVitt CIS # 76216,2066
