Windows NT QUESTIONS & ANSWERS- Number QA-1 10 September, 1993 1. How do I add the SCSI drivers if I installed from floppies or the network? a. First, go to the 'NT SETUP' icon b. Select Options c. Select "Add/Remove SCSI Adapters" d. You should see a list of currently installed SCSI boards, if you do not see, 'Trantor Media Vision' select "ADD" e. You will see a warning notice warning you about adding SCSI adapters. If this is what you want to do, select 'OK" f. You will next be presented a selection windows, expand the list g. Select 'Trantor MediaVision" from the list h. You may be prompted for where the driver is, update this windows as appropriate for your system. i. Verify that the driver is listed. j. Restart NT and your CD should be supported now. 2. Which Media Vision boards does Windows NT support? Any of our boards that have a 508 or MV101 mixer as far as sound goes, and SCSI interface only. Also the Thunder Board and Thunder & Lighting is supported. 3. What Software is supported? (Please note that WINDOWS NT is a 32 bit operating system, therefore 'standard' software may or may not work right) Tested and seems to work: Midi Soft Recording Sessions KidPix Monologue 16 Monopoly Great Cities Not working Risk (gives an exception error) Take a Break (GPF) PGA Tour Golf Compton's (unable to initialize DLL) Arthur's Teacher (Invalid or missing book out line error) Battle Chess (Disk Read Error) 4. How come I came not hear my CD Audio? 5. Does NT support my Sony 31a drive? Currently the Sony interface is not supported on the Media Vision line of boards. This support may be come avail in the future. 6. Does NT support my Philips drive? Currently the Philips interface is not supported on the Media Vision line of boards. This support may be come avail in the future. 7. How come my Pocket/Pro Mixers do not work? Due to the way that NT interfaces with the drivers and *.DLL is completely different that Windows 3.1, most applications that rely on drivers that are in WINDOWS 3.1 will not work.
