Interactive            Module         Player

I.M.P. release number 1 is written by Jan-Pieter Veen
and Scott Carmichael. I.M.P. plays .MOD files through
the Soundblaster, the Soundblaster PRO, the PC speaker
and any D/A converter hooked on your parallel port.
I.M.P. has a nice graphical screen that works on most
PC monitor types like Hercules,CGA,EGA and VGA.
System Requirements:

An AT-Machine (at least 10 MHz)
At least 512 Kb installed memory
Your favourite .MOD files
A playing device (see above)

If you don't like the speaker or your COVOX then we can
help you get a cheap SOUNDBLASTER (C) comp. card.
They only cost Dfl 175.- and they are 100% SB 2.0 comp.

If you are running IMP for the first time,start it up with
the extension -C This starts the config-menu.
IMP automatically saves your configuration.

To use the SHELL function you are advised to use a 386 PC
this increases the sound quality and lets you run your 
favourite music files in backround mode.

While playing you can control the volume with the + and the -
keys. I hope I don't have to explain these buttons!

IMP is released as FUNWARE (we don't like the word SHAREWARE)
you don't HAVE to pay if you use it, but a donation of at least
Dfl 25.- will asure you that you will receive all new I.M.P. 
versions for at least 1 year.The authors spent a lot of time 
writing I.M.P. so please leave it as it is, don't edit it!

We will fill your disk with good mod files when you ask for it!

Any SYSOP who advertises I.M.P. will recieve free info and disks
to his mail adress when he asks for it.If you run a BBS and you 
would like to distribute I.M.P. then please write to us and we
will get in touch with you.

Next versions of I.M.P. will include full screen scope modes and
volume control from the command line or in background mode.
We are also considering building a default .MOD file into the 
source code so you will always have music!!!
