What IL-Convert is good for
---------------------------
- IL-Convert   converts  printer adaptations (*.IDA) of IdeaList V3.1 - V3.4 
  into the new format (*.IXA) of IdeaList V3.5.

- IL-Convert converts INF files of IdeaLIst V3.4 (PRG and ACC versions) into 
  the new format (*.CNF) of IdeaList V3.5.


What IL-Convert cannot do
-------------------------
Creating  comments,  converting other formats, looking for mistakes, sending 
faxes, making coffee ...


How IL-Convert is used
----------------------
IL-Convert is a  simple  TTP  program.  When starting it you have to specify 
which files are to be converted,  either in the dialog after starting with a 
double-click from the desktop, or from a command shell. Only one path can be
set at a time but you may use wild cards so that a complete directory can be 
converted in one go.

Examples:

IDEALIST.IDA
  The file IDEALIST.IDA in the current directory

*.*
  All INF and IDA files in the current directory

*.IDA
  All IDA files in the current directory

IDEALIST.*
  IDEALIST.IDA and IDEALIST.INF in the current directory

C:\IDEALIST\PRINTER\HPDJ*.IDA
  All adaptation files beginning with "HPDJ" in this directory

C:\IDEALIST\INF\*.INF
  All configuration files in this directory

The  old file is not deleted. The new file gets the old file's name with the 
new extension IXA or CNF.

IL-Convert will search out the convertible files  from among those specified 
and leave all others alone.

Please note that no comments will be transferred from the old file(s),  only 
the  relevant  parameters  and printer codes.  Naturally you may  insert new 
comments into these files afterwards, but it  won't  be as important  as for  
the old formats thanks to the self explanatory key words.  The CNF files may 
also have comments added,  but note that IdeaList will overwrite them at the 
next save.

IL-Convert is a freeware utility for the shareware program IdeaList.
